My first stay at 4 Bears casino-hotel (Newtown, North Dakota) was in Dec/05. no one seemed to care that our experience was horrendous. the website looks beautiful and shows fantastic food and gaming… this is a lie. Watched staff swear at each other, told to eat elsewhere by staff, nobody seems to want to work there!!! BEWARE. Checked out in the morning, wanted to discuss the concerns… nope, met by a grumpy old guy who basically wanted us gone. Even the staff told us not to eat there or buy anything from the resort. Room was dirty! And disgusting… we slept in our clothes ontop the covers and did not shower or brush our teeth due to how unclean the bathroom and room was. The hotel was empty and they still put us in this room. The website spoke about beautiful rooms overlooking the river… nope … one overlooking the back parking lot. The food was horrendous, and some drunk women stole my meal before we were called to pick up from the counter! The gaming was horrible… old broke machines, nothing paying not even free spins.
We were not happy about this as we checked and were excited to eat there, based on all the restaurants listed on the website. The front staff advised none of the restaurants on the website were open except to get a burger or chicken fingers.
